How to prep a Wagyu steak?
When it comes to prepping a delicious Wagyu steak, timing is key! You'll want to take it out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before cooking, so it can reach room temperature. This is important because if the middle of the steak is still cold, it won't cook evenly.

Cooking inside on a pan or in an oven will no doubt make an amazing wagyu steak, but you'll have to deal with more of a mess from all the wagyu fat flying around as well as a lingering smell of deliciousness. That last one might not be a problem for most of you, though.
How long do you cook Wagyu steak?
Cooking wagyu steak is easy but it's important to get the timing right so that it's cooked to perfection! For a medium-rare steak, we recommend cooking it for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 130-140°F. That will get you a perfect medium rare steak (which we highly recommend) for a 1" steak. If you prefer your steak more well-done, simply cook it for a few minutes longer on each side.

How to cook Wagyu steak?

- Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it warm up to room temperature for about an hour.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of Kosher salt over both sides of the steak.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of butter or cooking oil. Alternatively, cut off a 1" chunk of the fatty marble and use that to grease the pan over heat instead.
- Place the steak in the hot skillet and cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the steak.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Recipe #2. Wagyu Steak with Herbs and Garlic
- Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it warm up to room temperature for about an hour.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper.
