Tuna (Toro) Steak and  Sauce


Taste like Japanese Wagyu steak! Using Toro fat with sauce adds great Tuna flavor!

Ingredients of Sauce (for 2 people)

Sauce 1:

  • Mirin: 60cc (2oz)
  • Cooking Sake: 35cc (1oz)
  • Soy Sauce: 60cc (2oz)
  • Sugar: 20g (0.7oz)
  • Toro Fat: Fat left on the pan after grilled
Or Sauce 2:
  • Black olive: 200g (7oz)
  • Caper: 20g (0.7oz)
  • Garlic (chopped): 1/2 piece
  • Anchovy: 20g (0.7oz)
  • Salt + pepper: Little
  • Toro Fat: Fat left on the pan after grilled

How to cook Toro Steak

Sear lightly both sides of Toro on the pan with high heat (no oil is
needed). Appx. 30 seconds for each side.

How to cook Sauce 1

  1. Boil Mirin and Sake in a pot
  2. Put soy sauce and sugar and simmer
  3. Put 2 on Toro steak and pour Toro fat on the top

How to cook Sauce 2

All blend and done.
