Toro Steak & Sauce Recipe
Enjoy delicious Blue-Fin Tuna that tastes just like Japanese Wagyu steak! Using Toro fat with sauce adds great Tuna flavor after a light sear.
Ingredients of Sauce (for 2 people)
Sauce 1:
- Mirin: 60cc (2oz)
- Cooking Sake: 35cc (1oz)
- Soy Sauce: 60cc (2oz)
- Sugar: 20g (0.7oz)
- Toro Fat: Fat left on the pan after grilled
- Black olive: 200g (7oz)
- Caper: 20g (0.7oz)
- Garlic (chopped): 1/2 piece
- Anchovy: 20g (0.7oz)
- Salt + pepper: Little
- Toro Fat: Fat left on the pan after grilled
How to Cook Toro Steak
Sear lightly both sides of Toro on the pan with high heat (no oil isneeded) for approximately 30 seconds for each side.
Cooking Sauce 1
- Boil Mirin and Sake in a pot
- Put soy sauce and sugar and simmer
- Put 2 on Toro steak and pour Toro fat on the top
